What should I know about installing WPC doors?

WPC doors install very much like wooden doors and use the same standard frame and hinge layout (we supply hinges, handle, peephole and lock cylinder as standard). Three practical tips for your site team:

• Pre-drill all screw holes for hinges, handles and locks — WPC is denser than MDF and can split if screwed directly.
• Leave a 3 mm expansion gap between the leaf and frame on the sides and top, and 5-8 mm at the bottom, because WPC expands and contracts slightly with temperature.
• Seal cut edges with silicone or PVC edge-tape rather than wood filler, and avoid fitting the leaf directly on wet screed.
